Interview
It was said that this party will be the best party ever held, so I decided to travel there. It was announced that the party will be held by Dexion, Cryptoburners, Fairlight and Violence, but the troubel started at this point...

1. Fairlight didn't show up at all!
2. The main organizing was done by Violence and as they are (?) rather lame too much went wrong.

The first bad thing was that they put the entrance prices up (+10 Nok!). The second bad thing was that those guys of Violence behaved like the kings of this party. (I didn't wonder, 'cause it was said that the main-organizer (a Violence-member!) Is gay and a Nazi!

The prices of the demo-competition were put up to 10000 (!) Nok, but it was said that the winner (Thomas Landspurg) just got around 2000 in the end...(Don't know more about this!)

As the organizers allowed the people to bring their amplifiers with them if they pay a special amount of money, too many guys thought the same. (Yeah, let's show the world my 1000 watt mega-cool amplifier!) it was really disturbing, 'cause 1. There was always too much noise in the party-rooms and 2. There were (too) many power-strucks.

But now let me start at the beginning of my journey to Norway (the land of the nice girls and the extra-high prices!). I started in Basel/Switzerland and took the train to Hamburg. Nothing happened on this part of the journey, 'cause I had to travel alone.
In Hamburg I took the train to Flensburg and later I traveled trough Denmark. I met a guy from Denmark (none-scene-releated!) And we talked about our countries, while the train took me nearer and nearer towards Frederikshavn/Denmark, from where my ferry was going off to Norway. This guy told me that the Scandinavian prices are very high, but Scandinavians normally earn the double amount of money, so their living-standart is probably the same than in Germany. (Although they don't drink that much alcohol and smoke that much cigarettes, 'cause their taxes for this stuff is very high! One pack of cigarretes costs around 9 German marks in Denmark and Norway!). In the afternoon I arrived in Frederikshavn, and I had some 4 or 5 hours to look around. A normal harbour-town with very high prices. (One hamburger cost me around 8 German marks!). In the evening (10 pm!) My ferry was going off and I was looking forward to meet some scene-guys. I knew that Trix/(now ex-)Rebels was on the ferry, so I asked a hostess to search for him, and after the 2nd try Trix really appeared at the information counter. We said hello, and he introduced me to some other guys. (Rebels-members, Dexion-guys, a lonely Silents member and 2 guys of X-Trade!) All these guys were Danes, except those 2 lazy X-Trade members, they were German. (Yeah, speaking German again was really cool!) Those guys had a cabin (a 4 person cabin, but there were around 8 or 9 people there and we had some nice talking. (Those Danes boozed all the night... There were many empty beer-tins when we arrived in Larvik/Norway!) After some talking we decided to look around on the ferry which was very big. We went to the disco and had some fun looking at a member of Dexion trying to get every girl there. He was unlucky and he danced like a gorilla! (he,he!). Early in the morning we decided to sleep, but just for 1 or 2 hours, and then those 2 guys of X-Trade and I decided to have a real breakfast. (Was very expensive and tasted very bad! (I started to hate this Scandinavian food!)) the fjords were really impressing, and at around 7 am we arrived in Larvik. At the harbour two Norwegian members of Addonic were waiting for me to travel to the party-place with a car. The travel was very fine and fast, I liked the landscape very much, but the Norwegian highway is very bad, and they even have to pay for it! (It's worse than in France! (Excuse me Arrakis!)) When we arrived at the party-place there were nearly no people, but we decided to install our computers in the cellar. (Later on we moved to the first floor to a class-room, 'cause the power-strucks were very disapointing for some of our coders!). The morning and the afternoon went over with some nice chats with some very nice guys. In the evening I had a German beer with Bjorn (ex-Dr.Awesome) and we saw some very nice raytraced-films on a kind of bigscreen in the cellar. (The bigscreen didn't belong to the organizers, it was brought by an Norwegian group!) I looked around on the party and had a look at all the class-rooms. PMC had some very impressing loudspeakers in their room... very loud and groovin bass... How did u guys like the "should i stay or should I go?"-Tape??? (He,he!). Brainstorm had a room together with Equinox and another group, although only Chester showed up. On the door of the room some posters were hanging around, announcing a live-strip of Patsy... (Just 40 Nok entrance fee!) it is said that some guys even tried to get some tickets for this bullshit! (He,he!) When Chester arrived we (Duke of Equinox and me) had big fun using Duke's camera and filming Chester wearing an "I am a lamer" sticker... Nobody knew him, so he looked around first, while being filmed like a big hollywood-star...(was big fun!) The rest of the party went over with chats... I met many wellknown guys, and it is really cool in Scandinavia, none of them was arrogant at all... Except this unknown main-organizer of the party (Violence-member!) who behaved like a big asshole. Before the demo-competion started a free-phone-line was organized by some guys of CRB and Network and we had some nice modem-trading during the night! We downloaded the new HACK-MAG and spreaded it at the party. (Hi, Darkdude/D-TECT!) who even managed to get some impressions of the party inside the mag which was spread the day before the party officially ended..) The demo-competition was over and nobody knew anything. Even nobody has seen all the demos. At around 9 or 10 on sunday the winners were announced, but those guys from Violence didn't give out the demos for free! They sold the winning demos, I never heard the winning tunes.... (lame behaviour, just looking to make as much money as possible!) later on I talked to the main-organizer and he told me following: "We didn't make any money with this party, no profit worth being mentioned here at all!" (Hey, guy! Remember that lying is still a sin!) in my eyes this was just pure bullshit, 'cause the organizers didn't have that high costs at all! 1. They got the school for free or at least for a very cheap price! 2. In my eyes they just had to pay the costs for lending the big TV for the video-competition! Nothing else.....Pure bullshit! This party brought a big amount of money, mainly for this big !@#%$! main-orgainzers....It was said that they got around 40 to 50% of all profits. The rest of the money was given to Dexion and CRB... It was said that the next big party will be held by Dexion in Denmark again. I really hope that those guys won't do the same mistakes again! All in all the party was just good if you liked to chat with many guys, but it was too expensive all in all......I spent around 500.- German marks for this party and let me say it this way: "I won't do it again!" (??) Cu in Denmark, dudies! (He,he!) and what about you Scandinavians coming to the CeBit and the Amiga 91? Germany is cheap for you, as you probably all know! And those exhibitions are worth being visited! In the end I want to thank Arrakis/Brainwave for driving me to the ferry on sunday. (I really thank you!)
