"This Amiga/C64-party is not an ordinary demo-party!". Those were some of the words you could read in the invitation to this party. Actually, the organizers of this hmm.... party faced that fact right from the beginning, becoz this sure wasn't an ordinary demo-party. Oui, welcome to this party-report of The Hurricane Demoparty '92, which took place from 26 to 29 June on an island in Denmark called Samsoe. This party was visited by about 300 Amiga freaks and about 300 C64 freaks. Well, the organizers claim that about 900 people was present, but I doubt that! Yez, this was another party advertised with big words. This time you could read in the invitation that this would be the greatest demoparty ever in the history of the personal computer and that it would be more than three times bigger than THE PARTY in Aars. But this party turned into a BIG FAKE party like I had expected though!!! I really wonder if the organizers of this party have ever visited a party. Anyway, they hardly didn't knew how to run a competition. What really annoyed me was that they kept showing a lame fractal (instead of pressing da fucking mouse button to move on) or they kept playing a lame module though people were clapping coz they wanted the organizers to move on. ARGHH! The organizers probably thought people liked the demo or tune when the freaks were clapping. ARGHHHHHH!!! Can you imagine that? zzz.zzzz.. zzzzz...zzz.. The picture on the screen was really blurred, but luckily a TV-transmitter was available so must people were looking at their own screens. The music competition lasted for about 3 fucking hours. zzz.zz.zzzz...zzz... Almost all 50-60 tunes were played to the end, so a lot of people left coz they could ofcoz not concentrate for that long. Results of the Music Competition: 1. Omar/Sonic 2. Jesper Kyd/Silents The organizers actually disqualified Omar/Sonic coz they heard he cheated but later on they said ok for him. The reason why he won was actually becoz he promised FREE BOOZE to everybody who voted at him BUT also becoz of sum HUNDRED FAKE votes! Yes. So Jesper Kyd was actually the REAL winner!!!!!! Results of the Amiga Demo-Competition: 1. Guardian Dragon II from Kefrens 2. Falling Up from Analog 3. Xpose from Silents 4. In the Kitchen from Anarchy 5. S.O.S. from Melon Dezign/Crystal 6. Dominators - Nevermind 7. Andromeda - Point Blank 8. X-Trade - Embrolic Coding 9. Sanity - Optium Fuckup 10. Gunners Farvebio I can't give you the results of the C64 competitions coz they were kinda having their own party. But the C64 demo-competition actually took place in the Amiga hall, and everybody were really shocked coz of sum real amazing routines. Way to go toasters! Results of the FasTest competition: 1. Melon Dezign and Silents 2. Parasite 3. Sanity Results of the Graphics competition: 1. Scuba/X-Trade 2. R.W.O./Kefrens 3. Sauron/Equinox 4. ADT/Soc. Brigade 5. Slash/Anarchy 6. Rookie/Upfront Guess what? Only a few prices to the #1 of each category will be given but that still hasn't happend. The reason why there are almost no prices is that there was a big deficiency of atleast 50000 DKK. I talked to the main-organizer Sioux of now EX.Hurricane yesterday and he said that Kefrens will get half of the real first price. That is 15000 DKK or the A3000. The organizers got a nice phonebill of 69500 DKK coz of grey boxing during the party. Luckily for the organizers they did not had to pay the bill coz the phone company looked through it with a smile. As always some computers (eg.Biscrok/Supplex') and some hard drives were stolen. Some rooms in the school were trashed very badly. Some doors were broken, some sinks were destroyed (no wonder with the baseballbats some people walked around with), graphite on some walls, a door to a private room was brokend and some things were stolen. Further more, one of the organizers car's was destroyed very badly. Anyway, the organizers can not get lost with the great help from those stinking Lamsoe flies. HaHa. A possitive thing which happend at diz party was when Denmark beated Germany 2-0 and became the 6EURO'92 CHAMPIONS (Deutschland, Deutshcland - Alles ist vorbei!!!). That ofcoz resulted in a lot of partying and fun! Anyway, I would rather be present in Aalborg to celebrate the championship together with thousands of people instead of beeing at this FAKE party.
