Parasite
Parasite was an exclusively Danish group, originally founded by Dino and Peter in 1992. Acording to Sledge Hammer #10, they were soon joined by several members from Cult, Rednex, Palace, T.E.K., Illusions, Kefrens & Quartz. Among them were super-swapper, Speedy, who released more than 50 issues of his pack-series, "Fuck her Brains out", as a Parasite member.
In June '92 a preview of Shayera's PST Tracker was release and one month later they won the fast-intro competition at the Hurricane & Brutal Summer Party in Samsø, Denmark. At the Pressure Point Meeting in October, they released the musicdisk Imperial Tunes, according to themselves, the first official Parasite release.
At The Party II they released the promising demo Zyclonium, which surprisingly only reached 16th place in the competition. Nevertheless, everything seemed fine until musician Slide joined Polka Brothers in December 1993. First as a double member, later on full time. Soon Gargoyle, Easley, Mount and Pixie joined him. Speedy started a new group named Speedy as a side-project, but eventually changed his handle to Steffen and left Parasite, to be 100% dedicated to Speedy.
The loss of several significant members caused founder Dino to leave and declare the group dead sometime in the middle of 1994. Steffen would later attempt to revive Parasite but without any luck.
