Interview
The place Munich, Germany, Hauptbahnhof, 26th December 1993, 19:20 Hr.

Abyss members Skindiver, Moon, Memoree, Toxic and I Alloy, oh and Buster of Proline. We Gathered at possibly the most exquisite Restaurant in the whole wide world BURGER KING.

Then it was time to leave for the train we Struggled through the crowds with all the luggage we were able to carry. Boarding the train in time only to find it was a 4th class train with no proper room to sleep. Imagine six people coupedup in a 1.8 x 2.5 meter square compartment ohhh get your foot off my balls. Well at least the heater worked.

After changing Trains no less than fourtimes. We finaly arrived exhausted but excited (hard to the core) in Herning.

Abyss stood there at first without a clue, I had a quick look at the invitation it read we will have a bus to take you directly there sure. Then I read or you can take bus... I spoted the bus just across the road, LETS GO rushing for our bus we had no idea of the maniac behind the wheel. I think she imagined that there was no such thing as SLUSH, ICE or AQUAPLANING.

It seemed like she took us on a tour around all of Herning which Skindiver remaked as reminding him to look very much like Chernobyl, he then spoted a hall. This is it nah jeah nah jeah nah YESSSSS DRAAAAGAAAAN (private joke, oh ok it is this stupit friend of ours) this is it.

The place Herning 27th Dec 93 11:30 Finaly were here.

It was worth the wait this place was huge. I mean HUGE! there were three main halls the first was as big as a soccer field with all the room for all the A4000, A1200, A2000, A1000, A600, A500, A500+, CDTV,CD32 oh and a few PCs all of the PCs had DOOM running nonstop.

The second hall was about about 1/3 thesize of the first, which mainly featured Amiga, C64, some PC again. Within the same hall Commodore Skandinavia set up a Hardware, Software stand which also was showing off the CD32 and you could have purchased a A1200 tax free, too bad I bought mine in Cologne a few months earlier.

The last hall was about half the size of the last I described, which had some members of TRSI (console) with their NEO GEO and 3DO, pretty hot gear. Again mainly Amiga and some PCs.

Sleep? who wants to sleep with all this but you could in one of the three halls each aprox the size of the first hall and covered good carpet.

Hungry are you? well there were two Snack Bars at ground level (not bad sandwiches). The Restaurant was upstairswhich was a bit disgusting, the fries werent crispy but soggy. The chicken wasnt even eaten by any of our members. Smart Skindiver and Adoring Alloy were smart enough and brought their own food supply.

Time passed so quickly we were copying spreading copying spreading before we knew it we were Burning the Midninght Oil.

28th Dec 93 after taking turns sleeping I woke to find the party was still going strong.

The C64 GFX and Demo competitions were held in the second smaller hall in the later part of the day, some was very impressive for C64, some seemed to be simply converted from Amiga though.

The PC Competition was held in the Big Hall utilising the Big screen. Anime (japanese adult cartoons) distributed by Manga ( Man = irresponsibe + Ga = pictures) were very popular here and there at the party.

There weren't any major problems with some people being intoxicated and running around causing havoc and mayhem. Alcohol simply wasn't allowed on the premises for starters, anyone found having any was asked to leave it at the front where they could take it with themupon leaving or LEAVE.

29th our last day in Herning people were a little worn over the 72 hours. On the other hand everyone was impatient over the Amiga competition's.

Music Some realy above average tune's nothing spectacular here.

GFX this was one of the hottest events the quality was very impressive, but it should have been split up into AGA and Non AGA. Apperently Scanners are cheaper than they ever were this was fitting to some of the entries we were shown.

Demo here we were presented with quite a mixture of the Good the Bad and the Ugly. Complex, Sanity and Virtual Dreams really kicked ass.

12:00 everyone in our group is getting the the last stuff copied and began to pack up. We wished the friends we made here and the party organizere's fare well and made our way back home this time on the party bus. Now all it was just a matter of gettingback on the trains for the long and tiresome journey home.

Norway is our next target on our agenda for the April 94 meeting we intend on flying there, we will see how it turns out this time hope to see you there.

I hope you enjoyed this text and that you got some idea of what it was like hope Norway works out good.
