Abyss

Abyss was formed late 1992 by the best members of Arise and Beyond, and released, what I believe, their first production, Monalisa was a Man, at The Party '92. Abyss is among the few groups found on this site, that went on and made several AGA products, all worth a look.

In 1994 the entire group of Pyrodex joined, including German chip-tune-guru Pink.

At The Party '98, German coder Dexter released his last ever amiga production, the third-placed 40k intro "Cruisin II - Cruise In". Dexter was one of the original members of the group, and participated in most of its best productions. His leaving is certainly a major blow to the group, and he will be sorely missed as a true amiga scene devotee to the end. Dexter is also the author of the amazing Abyss Highest eXperience (AHX, previously THX) music system for c64-like chip tunes, and Pink is the author of some of the best tunes for it.
