Yoho! We are sitting here in Lingen at Spider's place and want to tell you the story of our trip to the RAF party. As we have a D-TECT meeting at the moment nearly every member was present. We drove with three cars (BMW, Opel, Seat) to the party place in Amsterdam. We finally arrived at half past twelve at the E.T.S technical school where the party took place. About 20 freaks were standing in front of the door and waited to be let in. After a few minutes we were allowed to go in. We got a stamp, a sticker ('I was there...') and a little notepad with an RAF text on it. When we entered the hall there were already 100 people present. But as we walked around we noticed that there were really very few elite groups. Some were Vision, Mirage, Silents and RAF. And we say it already here: This didn't change during the whole party! After this little journey through the hall we installed our equipment. Hm, there were unfortunately two problems: 1. In all the trouble we forgot our mouse at home. 2. We had no power supply These two probs took a few minutes to be solved. BTW: We forgot to give the mouse back to the freak who lent it to us! So if YOU are the unlucky one you certainly can contact us and you'll get your mouse back! But you must be able to tell us the name of our member who asked you for the mouse or you must be able to describe him because we do not want to get hundreds of letters from freaks who want a new mouse! So, at the beginning Spider started to improve his very cool graphic. It was a horrible 'zombie' picture. The whole party place was very small (about 15m x 30m) for the 200-400 people and so everything was overcrowded. RAF organized a big videoscreen and they had a powerful amplifier. I think you can imagine that everything was very chaotic. Nobody was able to do some conversation and that was very negative because talking to other people is the most important thing at a party. As RAF promised in the invitation they fulfilled everything. All competitions took place and there was also live downloading. But I think the downloading was a little flop because the phone lines were really bad and the modem freaks had also problems in getting a card! (hehe). I don't wanna write much more about this party because there is nothing more to write about. Conclusion: We would have been very disappoint of the party if we were driven to it from our homes. But as we were on the D-TECT meeting in Lingen the distance to the party place wasn't large and so the party was okay. The organization was really good but there were too much lamers hanging around. Catastrophy By the way: Red Sector got a very big bottle of Vodka cause RAF thought they are the group of the year. But unfortunately they weren't present so RAF has to send it to them by mail.
