Interview
Bob: O.k whats your handle / group / function(s)?
Intreq: My handle is INTREQ and I am in DIGITAL and presently have the function of running Digital World HQ (Sysop).
Bob: How long habe you been doing it for, INTREQ?
Intreq: Hehehe... For about 3 months now... I used to do a little bit of modem trading under Digital before hand.
Bob: As a coder and lover of demos tell me has SPOOK got anything for Digital Symposium '92?
Intreq: Ah! So you have heard about this DTL party held on the 24th October, all I can really say at this point is that Spook as allocated time in his busy schedule and is coding with Acid, this production promises to be the best one yet!!
Bob: Careful... You'll get the juices flowing... What was your fave Digital Trackmo? Mine was PUNISHER!
Intreq: Yes! Everyone remembers that one... Most famous and I still have it on a disk sometimes to have a peek, but saying that I enjoy offers from all coders in Digital including Streamline, Lexicon, Panic etc. and all demos are complemented by good musicians and GFX.
Bob: Yeah Digital are one of the most productive groups in the scene. What are you favourite non Digital coders, musicians and graphics peeps?
Intreq: Well as for coders, I love European offerings from TSL, I have enjoyed SPY's coding for a long time now - always impressive routines to offer!! New and exciting...
As for musicians I have such faves and Mantronix, Tip, Codex, Uncle Tom and the ever-famous Walkman which sadly left the scene...
As for GFX, well I find Uno's/SCX graphics of a high calibre, however some newcomers onto the scene are providing some stunning sights!!!
Bob: Fave demos? (last of boring questions)
Intreq: Hmmmm, there are some which just stick in my mind, I enjoyed the highly-underated D.O.S. by Andromeda[/s], Hardwired by [g=14]Crionics, Voyage demo by Razor and basically everything to that taste... I enjoy un-packing new demo releases and people have started to release that pre-calculated dot-balls and copperlist buffered vectors and now being the norm and there is no challenge doing them any longer... A change for the better!!
Bob: Hmmmmm Lets talk about the party now... How are things going for this... So far so good?
Intreq: Yes - all the hall is booked for the 24th, again No.5 is promising to have the largest turnout ever (as he does each year!) and basically graphics comps, demo comps & music comps will all be a part of the Symposium '92. Full bar and food services from 9:00am until 11:45pm... Basically, DTL are planning to make this THE party of '92 in the U.K. if not the world.
Bob: Cannot wait... Roll on October 24th say the whole scene. How does a day usually go for you???
Intreq: Well it depends really, I go to college at the moment but I am presently having holidays so I have devoted a lot to this BBS. A life of a sysop is sometimes demanding esp. when you have to maintain the BBS, install new doors & features and also beta-test Ami-Express for Joseph Hodge... But whenever all the boring stuff is finished I will gladly go to the pub and have a few pints with my good m8's Moses & Dubbs. Yeah a SYSOP with an understanding for real life... Is this a first !!!
Bob: Ok wanna stick in an advert for the board and say a few hi ho's.
Intreq: Hehhe... Well I won't continue boring the readers of Stolen Data but just to say a few things and that is the BBS is ofcourse 24Hrs with 1.5Gigs on-line & a 16.8K Dual Standard... The number is +44 (0) 670 730696 but you can also find this number in the numerous DTL intros being released around now.
Errr, basically DTL have had some NEW members whose talents for GFX has been awesome, however we also lost two GFX artists in Germany, namely Groo + Rufferto who left to join Delicious Designs feeling that group could enact their "dreams"... Enough babble, call a Digital BBS soon for all the latest information on DIGITAL.
Bob: Yeah those guyz were at the Quartz pardie... Anyway thanx for your time at 2:52 on the 5th September 1992... Cheers...
Intreq: No problems... Been a pleasure Bob.
