Digital

When Brittish scener No.5 left Magnetic Fields sometime in early to mid-1992 and started Digital, he brought along some of the best English and German members. Their first release was the invitation demo for their party, The Main Event, which was held in October 1991 in Rotherham, UK.

Right from the start, Digital was involved in the BBS scene, with Ghost being their first board. The list of boards grew quite extensively over the years, with several boards in both Europe and the US. For Digital, being part of the BBS scene also meant involvement in illegal piracy. Besides creating cracktros for both Nemesis and Ministry, they even produced a few cracks of their own. However, Digital was primarily known as a demo group rather than a cracking group.

Besides their German division, they soon gained members in other European countries, such as Finland and France. Their French division, in particular, grew very strong. With members like Gengis, Clawz, Alex, Titan and Reverse, the French division released some of Digital’s most noteworthy productions, such as A Maze in, Extemporized and Afternoon.
