Yo friend! Give us some detailed infos about yourself first. |
| Conquest: |
Yo AMOK... Let's start the chat!!! Well, I'm an 18 years old amiga freak studying science at the University of TOURS. I'm mainswapper, packer and modemtrader in NEXT. |
| McDisk: |
Tell us something about your Amiga-career. |
| Conquest: |
I started my Amiga career as soon as I sold my Atari ShiT!! Hehe... that's to say 1,5 year ago. |
| McDisk: |
Have you been in any other groups before you joined NEXT? |
| Conquest: |
Two months after I joined SUBSOFTWARE with other friends as subdivision of this cracking group... But we did not stay more than 2 weeks! So I started my swapping career as independant guy. Then I met a cool musician and a coder, and I founded with new friends THE BEASTIE BOYS CREW! But we didn't make it so I stoped all activities, because of hard studies. When I went to the University I met the leader of... Guess it! |
| McDisk: |
What are the next releases from Next? Will there be another slide-show? |
| Conquest: |
We have planned many great stuff like a one disk demo to be released at the SILENTS/CRIONICS Party on the 3rd of August in Denmark! We're also working on new loaders of our serial demo packs INFESTATION. Our Norwegian coder is about to release a music disk for our great artist SHARP. And some groups overthere may know, thanks to the infos we've spread, that we'll soon release a new concept of advertising called THE WALL. A new slide show will be released around october... Greater than PIXELIUM... Yes! It's possible!! |
| McDisk: |
Give us some infos about the scene in France. |
| Conquest: |
Ok! Let's speak about the state of mind of the Amiga scene in France. It's improving at the moment but not long ago it was really fuckin'! There are always groups in war in France, and this because of jealousy... I think! But there are many groups working hard instead of spreading bullshits. The problem is that they don't spread their productions abroad... That's why the french scene is more a business and cracking one instead of a fun one. Lately new demo groups have just born by melting of small ones, and they seem to be more productive now. Actually french groups who didn't succeed in getting at the top prefer to become divisions of great foreign groups cause you can get to the Elite very easy!!! |
| McDisk: |
Has your group any foreign divisions? |
| Conquest: |
Although NEXT is born in sweet France, we have a coder in Norway. As I said before, a group must show what it can make instead of getting new divisions! |
| McDisk: |
Do you have some other hobbies besides computing? |
| Conquest: |
Of course! I play BaseBall twice a week. By the way, support the NYC Yankees cause they need it! I'm also keen on Electronic and Video. Most musics I enjoy are RAP! I used to practice Sailing during holidays in Ibiza! I also like to travel! All my contacts have noticed it when I sent them American, European or African Postcards! |
| McDisk: |
What do you think about diskmags? |
| Conquest: |
For all the people who are hungry for infos and news about the world scene it's fundamental! To my point of view, it's also a good way of entertaining the Amiga freaks if the diskmag is looking good! Many groups have managed to release ones, and some of them did co-op to do so! But too many of them are very low besides of the Top ones! |
| McDisk: |
Ok, just kidding. Do you know why the bluebox system in France broke down? |
| Conquest: |
The bluebox system is still usefull in France. You may be speaking of the phoning cards. Some engineers in electronic succeded in making cards with unlimited credits. But the police found the only one place where they were conceived... So it was hard to buy (not cheap!!) some of those faking cards, and now it's also hard to find some! |
| McDisk: |
What do you think about the modem-scene? Do you think it destroy the friendship? |
| Conquest: |
The modem scene is unexistant in France. It's still hard to find modems rated at 9600 bds! We must order them abroad! A dp BBS has just born and the sysop seems to be an independant guy! There are few illegal bbs, cause as you all know, the software police is very efficient! So... We must call abroad and it's a bit expensive! Of course, a modem is the best way to improve your spreading but it destroyed the friendship that you get by sending letters. To my mind you mustn't stop swapping when you buy a modem. If you do so, you'll fast be bored of the scene!! |
| McDisk: |
If you could change something in the world, what would you change? |
| Conquest: |
I'll change the name of NWA into greatest funnies niggaz! Hope my friends will understand this!? |
| McDisk: |
Who is the best coder, musican and artist in the scene? |
| Conquest: |
There are too many ones to rate them as best... So it's only my point of view. I'll speak about great artists who aren't famous at the moment! But I think they'll become it soon! The gfx I prefer are of course from ZOOM! Hey dudes, try to get our slide show 'PIXELIUM' and you'll understand! The musax I prefer are made by NHP who's at the moment in SILENTS France. The coder I prefer is Corto/ALLIANCE DESIGN for his great SUBSTANCE. |
| McDisk: |
Ok, we're at the end of this crap. Now you have some space to write something for our readers and to your best friends... |
| Conquest: |
Hum... First I want to send golden greetx to all the NEXT members for their great work... You're beyond all praise men! Then I send normal greetx to all my friends and contacts all over the world! I'm sending now special YO's to my best friends:
- Mr Mixx of DELIGHT
- Ventor of AWESOME
