Welcome stranger! This is the very first issue of COMA's Disk-Mag -=> McDisk <=- After 1 month of coding and another one for collecting articles we finally made it! McDisk #1 is ready to be released! A new Disk-Mag is born! I think you found out by yourself, how to use our menu, but I'll just decribe it for the less experienced Mag-readers! Use the 'Prev. Article' and 'Next Article' icons to scroll it up and down. You can also use the and keys on your keyboard. A third way to scroll it, is the Scroll-Bar placed on the right border. Just press the left mouse-button and move your mouse up'n down. Nice effect, eh? So as I (Mad Butcher) am the Main-Editor of this Mag, I've the honour to fill this scroll with some more or less interesting stuff. First I wanna send thanx to all the guys who supported our Mag! Only your help made this issue possible! Keep up this cool work! I don't think that you know how much work is caused by a Disk-Mag like McDisk. About 2 month ago, we decided to do an own Disk-Mag. Nice idea! We thought it'd be easy work: a few bytes of code, some articles and the new Mag is finished! So we started coding. About 1 week later we had a first preview of McDisk. OK, but than the hard work of collecting articles, interviews and news begun. I spend nearly my whole spare-time to fill this Mag with articles! Hard work! And as I've also other hobbies besides McDisk (parties, cinema, boozing, meeting some friends...), I got some problems to finish it in time. But as you see, I've done it! If you have had a look on the menu, you might have noticed, that nearly 80% of the articles were written by members of COMA! I hope this will change in our future issues! The releasing-date of McDisk #2 is not set yet! I'll just take 2 weeks holidays directly after this issue is released! So keep tuned for our second issue! I promise you, that it'll be released sooner or later... If you're waiting for greetings or contact-addresses, you should stop reading this scroll immediatly because you won't find stuff like this here! Now some messages to the actual Disk-Mag-scene! D-TECT (Hack-Mag): Your DisK-Mag is one of the best! I'm waiting for your new coding! Hope it's not better than McDisk! Brainstorm (ZINE): I think you should improve your coding to stay at the top! You've the best articles, but your coding is not 'up to date'! Cytax (ICE): The best newcomer in the Mag-scene! Cool design and coding! But you should improve your Menu-system! It's not very comfortable to type in the number of the text you want to read! A mouse-operated menu would be better! Sanity (DISC): Only a few articles in your last issue! I think you're loosing more and more power! I'm looking forward to the new code by Chaos. AFL (Cracker Journal): Your coding is absolutly old-fashioned! You'll be beaten by almost every newcomer (e.g. ICE) because of better coding and design! I hope you don't take my critics for too serious. If you'd like to critize some features of McDisk, just send a letter to our 'Letters to the Editors'-corner! At the end of this scroll I wanna welcome our new members in USA and FRANCE! So I'll stop now, because you shouldn't read the scroll instead of the articles! See you all in McDisk issue 2... Mad Butcher of COMA signing off! End of Transmission! Over and out!
