Alliance Design

When the original Paradox disbanded in January 1991, several members moved their illegal activities to one of the other leading cracking groups of the time, Quartex. French coder Corto, who had coded a few intros for Paradox, went on to start his own group, Alliance Design. Corto's newly formed group also joined Quartex, but as a legal subgroup.

They entered the demoscene with the release of Substance at the Amiga Summit Convention, held in April - and what an entrance it was... The demo may not have won the competition at the party, but it became an instant classic and is still considered an absolute "must-see".

Founder Corto was caught blue-boxing in the spring of 1992 and subsequently ceased all his scene activities. This led to many members leaving, and the group slowly faded away until 1993, when they, in cooperation with Dreamdealers, released Arkham Asylum — their final demo.
