After our own party got busted, 10 members of CRYPTOBURNERS went to the Fairlight, Horizon and Miracle Easter-conference in Gothenburg. We packed our equipment in two cars and one tilhenger and headed stright for gothenburg. When we arrived we saw a quite big school, woaw, I thought, this looks great! But after we payed the enterance fee of 90 swedish crowns, we got a bit disapointed. We were given a place at the fourth floor, which were the V.I.P section. In my opinion the V.I.P should be at one of the bottom floor (so I didn't have to walk all the way down to get a smoke). I don't know the exact number of people present, but I think it was about 200-250. Some of the guys were quite drunk allready, and others had just started. Some good groups present were: Scoopex, Defjam, Active, Silents, Phenomena, Razor, Adept, CRB, No Limits, D-Mob, Dual Crew, Red Sector and many more (Sorry I can't remember you all!). Some said that Vision Factory were there too, but I didn't see them. Some guys had a drinking party in the sleeping room, and now and then you could see some drunk guys comming your way... Time pased on, and the democompetition was getting closer and everybody started coding as mad. By the way, the prizes were great! First prize were a 14400 baud modem! Finally the democompetition was about to begin. On the phone we were told that we could compete with our mega-demo but at the party we had to show only one part for two minutes, or we could show 30 seconds of each part. It stinked! But we had to accept it. The competition was won by Scoopex (Finland). Fairlight took the second prize, and Dual Crew took the third prize. When our megademo-part were shown, one of the stereo-plugs fell out, and the Nerd who were changing the disk's just sat there and smiled, It sounded aweful with just two voices. I'm a bit disapointed with the competition, not only becuse of the trouble with the stereo, but also because Fairlight competed in their own competition, their demo was a really good one but they shouldn't take any of the prizes since it was their party. Also the democompetition took too long time, so most of us fell asleep after some time, It would have been better with a jury. Although these problems it was a quite cool party, but it missed something, I don't know what...
