Party report from Maximum Pleasure Party 1991

Hi world!!! Here is Spider of D-TECT speaking. Today I'm going to tell some words about the Maximum Pleasure Party in Luxembourg (Diekirch). So lets go.

We (Spider/D-TECT, Aljechin of Coma and Case/Ex-D-TECT) arrived in Diekirch around 1'o clock (pm). But arriving in Diekirch did not mean to arrive at the party place. Because of some problems (I still don't know WHICH problems) the party had to be replaced from Bleesbreck to the Deichhall. But who did know that? It was pure luck, that we found the place. We asked a girl in a gas station, and she seemed to be informed and told us about the new partyplace. Ok. So far so good. She said: "Take the left after the next traffic lights!". We drove and drove, but we hadn't seen one traffic light after driving around for 15 minutes. So we drove back and tried the other way (Case didn't understand the way-description the first time). We saw lots of guys which were running around through the streets of the town and didn't know where to go. And here the whole shit started! If you had no car, the way to the partyplace was very long. TOO long!!! And so lots of guys went back to the station or to their cars (or planes or helicopters or ...) and travelled home again. My my!

As we arrived at the party place, the big room, which could hold 2000 (?) people wasn't even filled to the half. We waited for the others of D-TECT and talked to some friends (hi Agnostic Front...). Later some guys drove through the city and picked up some freax who were still searching for the partyplace. Slowly the party became funnier. More and more people arrived, but still the big partyroom wasn't even filled 50%. But anyway. Nearly every famous and cool group was present. Ok. There were also some not-so-cool persons present like "CHESTER OF BRAINSTORM" (hehehe!), but we gave him the last HACK-MAG and he was happy that he got quiet very fast (ok, ok - peace!).

The organizers had some problems with taking a big videoscreen to Luxembourg through the customs and so there was only a little (ok, it wasn't THAT little) TV on the stage. But anyway. I think, the big videoscreen wouldn't have been worth to carry it all the way to Luxembourg. You ask yourself why? Ok. Let's talk about the... COMPETITIONS!!!

Ok. First of all I have to say, that the party was quite good organized. But the whole competition part was a flop, coz noone released something useful. I didn't write down the results of the competions, but you can be sure that they were the last shit and are not worth to be mentioned. All I have to say is, that the music competition was won by ... ROMEO KNIGHT! It's a lil' bit strange, that nearly every song only got points less than 5 (you could vote from 0-10, I think) and Romeo Knight's song got 9,??? (?) points. Maybe the fact that Irata/RSI was sitting in the jury was important, but anyway! We don't want to set any rumours in this article.

The demo competition was lame, coz noone released a demo, which was worth a price. Some ominous 'Hawaii Brothers' (alias 'The Special Brothers' (?)) released a funny demo which had no sin and no specials (it was a two framed animation which was repeated the whole time). Then there was a cute demo from Brainstorm with a little worm who was killed by a megafoot (well, very nice idea, really!). And all in all that was nearly everything to tell about demos, I think. The organizers showed JPN's new game 'Asteroids', and everybody thought it was a demo. Very cool - but as told: The organisation was ok, but there was really no stuff to vote for.

But now to some other interesting points of the party. If you live in Germany and are able to receive the TV-Station 'NORD 3' you maybe have seen us at the Maximum Pleasure Party. Correct! As you have guessed, a TV-team was present at the party and filmed everything and everyone. An Animators-guy (I don't know his name) tried to be interviewed from the TV-guys the whole time. But he had no success. The three guys only were looking for illegal shit, so that they could present us as a crowd of idiotic criminals. Unfortunately I missed the program and so I am searching for someone who had recorded it and I'm offering to swap it for a copy of MY video-version (I had a camera, too). But let's go on with the story (?). After we jumped around a while and talked to millions (ok, ok - there were only 300 guys, I think) of people, we decided to drive to the city and to eat something. There is a little story about that too, but I don't think that I'm going to make ourselves some friends with it, so I leave this topic alone. As we arrived back at the party-place we already had missed the first striptease and we were all frustrated (joking). But after some more time, the second strip started and we were all present this time. The whole strip is on video... so come on guys! You can BUY the video, too! At least the small japanese/chinese/??? girl (all I know is, that she was sliteyed), was quite nice and at the end she was 'n'ice, 'n'ear and 'n'aked! Just the three "N"'s a girl must be, to stasify an evil gang like the Amiga-scene.

But all in all we had our fun, and I don't think that it was a loss of time and money at all. The only thing I have to complain myself at last is the potatoe-salad. That was no food, that was the last XXXXXX (please insert your favourite word for excrement here). But anyway. The party was over at six o' clock in the morning of the other day and so a lot of guys had no place to sleep, but we entered Case's car and drove back to Lingen. And if I would have the chance to do it all again, I wouldn't change a thing (isn't that from a song?). Well. Now here are at last some opinions from other guys who were around at the party, too.
