Pure Metal Coders

In the early months of 1989, the two Norwegian coders Cocy and Zorax decided to assemble an amiga demo crew. Joined by swapper Clicky, they formed Pure Metal Coders on the 27th of March and released their first demo in July; PMC Megademo.

By the end of 1989, Designer had joined the team, primarily to do graphics, but he soon started doing some coding on his own. Together with Cocy and Zorax, the three proved very productive throughout 1990, releasing a lot of demos and intros.

Around August 1990, several members from the Norwegian group Cartel joined PMC. Among them were Lord Helmet, a young swapper and editor with a determined mind set on developing the best diskmag the Scene had ever seen.

In November 1991 his hard work and determination paid off and with the help of another Norwegian group, New Wave, PMC released the first issue of Revolutionary Article Work, or simply RAW. New Wave helped publish one more issue, before fellow main editor, Kingpin, left in favor of PMC, making RAW a pure PMC production.

At The Party II, Cocy released the follow-up to his popular demo Alpha & Omega; Alpha & Omega II. Ironically this demo featured several commercials for RAW and a promise of a "behind the scenes of Alpha & Omega II"-article in RAW #5. Reality was, at the end of the party, the entire RAW team had left PMC and joined Spaceballs instead.

The loss of RAW and the majority of the active members, also meant the end of existence for Pure Metal Coders. Their releases at The Party II would be their last.
