Also RAW writes a traditional party report! But this partyreport is not about a normal lame party. It is about THE PARTY OF THE YEAR... and all who wasn't on this party "SHAME ON YOU!" THE PARTYPLACE It was a big hall with over 1300 Amigafreaks. Maybe too overcrowded. The air condition could not cope with so many people, so the air was not too good. A big screen with infotext genlocked to MTV was also present. Everybody with a TV could take down the signals. Very good idea. Also present was a moviechannel showing the latest movies like Hot Shots etc. The Sleeping hall was BIG enough for all who wanted to sleep. If you were hungry you could always buy some some food at the cafeteria. Only have to say that the organizers held all things that they promised in the invitation. THE PEOPLE ---------- Instead of telling who was on the party, we should instead tell who wasn't on the party. If I should tell all groups present I would used the whole day. Maybe I should tell you the most famous groups. Ok, Look at The Eurochart "BEST OVERALL GROUPS" minus Cryptoburners and you got them! TROUBLES -------- Not a BIG party without troubles. Some drunken people caused some troubles like destroing the satelitte receiver and pressing the fire alarm button (really fun!).. Some people got some of their equipment stolen like harddisks, drives and even Amigas got stolen. At the end there was 2 civil cops walking around to make sure that the party could continue. The organizers claimed that the Fire Alarm had costed them around 20000 danish crowns. Even if there was some troubles I don't think there was more trouble than you could expect. 1300 criminals on the same place (You know it is illegal to copy copyrighted software). COMPETITONS ----------- The competitons was nice organised. Although if you were to see all the compos you had to sit down for some hours. Only the democompo lasted 4 hours. PARTY & BOOZE ------------- This is of coz for many the most important thing on a party. On this party it was allowed to booze inside the party area. (Well, After the first night the organizers found out that only beer was allowed).. Near the party place there was a Pub which many visited in the nights. The saturday evening this pub was filled up with drunk Amiga freaks. Some local danish boys did not like this and a fight begun. I think Mightymuz/Spirit was involved in this. But anyway it was brand fun. So all who choosed to stay at the party place instead of hitting the down should regret. ----------- REMEMBER ---------- "Party is more than computing" ----------------------------------- SUMMARY ------- Everybody had big expectations to this party, but I think we all got what we expected. Many people, Great atmosphere, fantastic demos and not to mention the great organising. This is probably the best party arranged ever on Amiga and the rest of the compos around! Before I end this article I just have to thanx the organizers for a great party. Hope we will have so great partys also in 1992... It have to be done again!!!!
