Interview
First I have to maintain that this is the report of the Cebit-scene-metting and not a report about the news at it. I think that most people are not interested what news IBM or ATARI published. So have fun with this... First of all, you won't find a list of the guys present (like: Anarchy, Flash Production, Mexx, Action, Quartex, Defjam, Silents, Spreadpoint, Razor 1911, Style, Betrayl, Poison, Coma, Dcs, Brainstorm, Addonic, Cytax, D-Tect, Zylon & Vision One of Afl, Tarkus Team, Fairlight, Trygon, Exult, Red Sector, Tristar, Jpn of ?, Pic, Venom, Vogue... and of course a lot of more we don't remember by now) coz this stands in every report!

This time the wall at Commodore was "protected" by the cops and the other funny looking guys, who wore dis french hats. From 9 to 10 o'clock they stood about 1 metres from each other at the wall, while the cops checked some guys for guns or spraycans. As i stood together with Bomber at the wall suddenly a cop came to me and ask me to open my rucksack. In this there was my spraycan. The cop looked inside the rucksack and started to grab in it, then he touched my can. I started to sweat. Then he said: "You drink the half litres outside O.k. ?" I said "O.k.", after he had gone we looked at each other and started to laugh. Then the police arrested some guys. One of em was Tiger/Fairlight. They found a very big knife (it looked like Rambo's). Some others were arrested for spraying on the wall.

After an hour the police stopped their activities, because they weren't able to control the mass of freaks. At 12 o' clock it was hard to get from one end of the wall to the other. The wall was full of stickers and sprayed logos. I think the coolest of the stickers was the one from Tarkus Team, which looked like a water splash. Then there was the "who gets the stickers the highest up the wall" competition. At the end Style were the ones. (with 4 guys over each other) As every year Commodore took some photos of the freaks, also some films by a videocamera. I think none of the freaks saw something else, then the commodore wall and all the stands on the way to commodore.

At about 5 o' clock most of the guys had gone. Only some guys were left, who wrote off the addresses from the wall. At half past 5 me and Bomber left together with Brainstorm and Addonic for the party. Jaxx, XY and Pink Panther went by car there and Bomber, some guys from Brainstorm and Addonic and one modemtrader went to MC-Donalds (I only say: shit junk-food. But who cares???). After we finished our meal we tried to find the party-place. As always we slandered about the english from the invitation. Some quotations out of it: "You have surf to the 4th station... when you reach the crossing you cross it and went to the... now go in and have phun" Cool heh? Ok...

Finaly we reached the party-place where Jaxx, XY and Pink Panter of Flash Productions were already waiting. The first shock came when we saw the entrence-fee. 10DM for uninvited and 6DM for invited. If ya see the prices from the big scandinavien partys (normaly about 25 DM for 3-4 days!!!) this price was too much (only one evening)! Then we tried to come in for free coz we are from the well-known diskmags. But we had to pay so this one didn't work. But what was that??? The CJ-Team came in for free! This was not a fair act from the organizers. Never mind...

The party started and in the end about 250 visitors and 30 computers (counted by Chester/Brainstorm) were there. It was possible to eat and drink something in a room next the party. Inside the partyroom there was a little bar (with very high prices). Well, the party was going on it's normal way. Finaly the demo-competition started.

The voting was something special. Not everybody was allowed to vote just as told in the invitation: "well-known scene-persons". So the organisers decided that the jury was build by one person of each diskmag. We got our own room (one good thing!) so that we are not disturbed by the other lamers. Addonic had luck coz the organizers allowed them to take part with their 3 days old demo. After one hour of hard voting (we had much fun with it laughing at lame demos!!!) the winner was: ADDONIC with their Fractal Demo. 2.place - Spreadpoint and 3.place - Trygon. Now it was 11 o'clock and after the guys left the partyplace, we drove home at about 11.30 o'clock so I don't know what's happend after it. Nothing more to say. FIN!
