5-8:th of August a party by Virtual was held in Örebro, Swe, in a place as big as it was on The Party II, 5000 m2! But... Not more than 5-600 showed up, and aprx another 100 didn't pay... Well, what to say about the party... Rage, Reflex, Noice, Silents, Obscene, Sagazity (Saggecity), Genetic and Infect... And some other guys that i don't remember attended... And of course Hardcore Design! Yeah, Sieg heil on you too guys... Stooped rules... Now here are two quotes from the very same info sheet that was sent out: "NO alcohol in the party area!" ...and 10 lines further down... "And finally ofcourse! A beer drinking competition!!" Comments really necessary here..? When it comes to THEFT it was indeed a miserable party... A member X of Genetic was caught with a little pile of stolen goods... The police was called to the place, and he was... Ahem... suspected to be involved in several HD's, extra-drives, monitors and one A1200... Luckily for him, nothing more than a number of Extra Drives was found as the police came, but several witnesses had different juicy details which could be necessary if one wanted to really blow a guys career at the scene... This member X can now consider himself of locked out at most future parties... Compos This was a sad part... The prizes that had been promised was 1st prize - 15.000 SEK 2nd prize - 5.000 SEK 3rd prize - 2.000 SEK in the demo compo... Well, THIS was the real FACT... 1st prize - A1200 + 2.000 SEK 2nd prize - 2.000 SEK 3rd prize - 0:- (!) Now this is shitty indeed! How come most party arrangers nowadays don't seem to be able to keep their promised prizes?? Lack of attendants? Well, keep a better security at the enterance then, so 10% gets in all free! Anyway, the Winner of the Day was RAGE! With Neural Assault the won against Scan of Classic & Reflex. The results: Rage: 20% Classic: 14% Reflex: 13% Noice: 13% (rounded off, of course) As you can see, it was a very even race, and all demos was of very high quality. Noice was close, close, but got beaten in the end... Winners of GFX & Music was Rocket/Noice & Probe/Indep. Commodore The party was sponsored by Commodore, and the fact that they even showed up surprised many... Unfortunately, most of their stuff was broke, but they WERE THERE... And they showed the new CD 32, which didn't look to impressive to me... The guy showing it on the other hand, thought absolutely EVERYTHING about it was cool... Even the extra wires was cool! And the design! Not to mention the extra joypads! etc etc... TV 21 of Sweden was there and took a few closeups of the guys depths of his nose, but was just hanging around rest of the time... Probe, winner of Music contest, and myself (!) got caught in an interview! :-) Gee, that 21 year old reportress sure was... AHEM... Cute! ;-F Erhm... Well, else, the most fun was to see a certain Genetic member screwing up... So..? The party was O.K... Nothing to travel around the world for, but still close enough to be enjoyable. Rage/Silents/Reflex partied on rather good, but else it was rather calm... Not even the Skinheads of Hardcore Design kicked the Yodel-members heads n for their Anti-Nazi intro... And THEN one can sure talk about a CALM party! Remember the TCC '93, oh ye experienced partydude... Anyway, this is the last party I'll attend for a while, even though Datormagazin of Sweden pays my expenditures... Simply cause I want to save myself till The Party III, which I suggest ALL OF YOU SHOULD ATTEND!!! It'll be GREAT!
