The party was organized by Tristar, Red Sector, Vogue, Scoopex, Supplex and Crest and was held in Ettenbrugg/Luxemburg, Saturday 18th May from 2 p.m. to sunday 19th May 1991 3 a.m. Preparations for the party had to be made. I was appointed to organize the train-tickets at the French station (I hate speaking French!), but I also had to finish my genious demo, in a very short time. Nevertheless my superior intelligence and ability to do things (!) helped me to finish everything in time. (No, I'm not arrogant neither self-centred!) 8 Brainstorm members decided to join this party in Ettenbrugg/Luxemburg. We took the train in Basle/Switzerland at midnight. After we entered in a carriage, we saw some Equinox-members. They had 3 Amigas with monitors, but we even didn't have one. Later on we tried to get some power from the socket in the train-toilet to turn on an Amiga, but the power broke down when we plugged in the monitor. Some passengers (one of them listened to "Modern Talking" and "C.C. Catch"!), who wanted to go to the toilet, were really "pissed" off with us. Finally we stopped trying to use an Amiga in a train, but the real bullshit was about to begin. Fineline of Equinox (he was making most of the bullshit all the time) had a counterfeit key for the phone of the train. Phone-trains are usually used for messages like: "Next stop is xxxxx" or other useful things. The phone is connected to all the loudspeakers in the carriages and so some messages like: "Next station everybody must leave this train!" or "Next stop Luxemburg, passengers who want to go to the copyparty should change the train now", "If you want to get best Chester-cheese join our kitchen!". (It seems to be a Equinox-disease to use the word Chester-cheese all the time!) In the train we also started to tell about our great demo that we are going release at the party. Chester told everyone how great it was, but infact just E.S.A of Brainstorm saw it till this moment. At all we drove 4 hours nonstop to the capital of Luxemburg known under the name... Luxemburg. At 4 o'clock in the morning we arrived in Luxemburg. It was fucking cold and as usual at 4 o'clock everything was closed, but we wanted to make something, so we started to search for a socket to plug in an Amiga. We found one in the station, on a site on which a new building was under construction. This time it worked. So, we were watching some new demos and listening to sounds at the station, on a site, at 4:30 in the morning! Quite crazy... Afterwards we walked around in the city and we probably had to search a play-center. (Fineline is a gamer!). We didn't manage to find a play-center, but at least we found a small coffee-house with some (lame) video-games. A few guys started to play, but the others (we, too) were tired and sat on the floor in the coffee-house, hardly trying to sleep. But the owner of the shop wasn't very lucky when he saw about 10 persons lying on the floor, so he kicked us out. Afterwards we returned to the station and Chester/Brainstorm and Duke/Equinox decided to sleep on the site in the station. Meanwhile the others walked around in the city doing nothing extraordinaire. Time passed and at 6.30 a cafe opened his doors, we immediately entered and first of all ate and drunk something. Later on we tried to start to sleep in this coffee-house. Some succeeded, but after 10 minutes an employee kicked us out! Ooops, but at least time came now to go to the party, which should start at 1:00 p.m. The informations from the organizers about the way to the party (messages on boards, invitations) were incredibly bad! Someone said that you can walk from Luxemburg to the party-place, somewhere I read the party is in Bleesbreck... The fact is that we had to take the train to Ettenbrugg and then we had to walk 15 minutes to the party place. It's not a surprise that the maintopic at the party was, how long it took to find the place. Some people arrived after having searched for more than a hour. The party should start at 13:00, but because the organizers came too late, (did they have any problems finding the place?), it started one hour later. So we sat in front of the entrance and a member of Addonic wanted to eat a banana. At least he tried, but he didn't manage to eat it, because the banana was already fucked up and it smelled terribly ugly. So I took a paper, put the banana on it and wrote down the following words: "If you eat this you get a ZINE abo for a year for free!" signed Orlando & Chester/Brainstorm. But nobody seemed to be interested... (strange...). In the mean time Bird and Luke of Brainstorm started the party outside by drinking a lot of beer. Just to add here a little conversation between Bird and Chester: Bird: "So, Chester how much beer are we going to drink?" Chester: "I don't drink, Bird!" Bird: "Then you'll probably have to learn it..." They opened the door some minutes before two o'clock. Here we also want to thank the organizers that we (Orlando & Chester) only had to pay half of the enterance fee. The hall was quite big and there was much free space left for the approx 400 visitors. A powerful amplifier was connected to two loudspeakers, the "big"-screen was just a simple TV. The party started in a normal way, everyone installed his Amigas and the usual small-talk began. A Luxemburgian TV-company was present and took a film during the whole party. Some famous groups were present... The organizer groups (even if I didn't see a Scoopex member!), Brainstorm (very good and coool group!), Quartex (Corto, Traitor), Sanity (Chaos, Panther, Jester, Diddle and some more...), Vision Factory, Storm, the coder of the Nordic-Power freezer (Quadlite), D-Tect and some more I can't remember right now... The party-events started with a sound competition to which many gave their contributions. We heard many tunes that were really shit, but there were some good ones, too. A jury gave points for the songs and the ratings weren't too high till the last song was played. It was a song by Romeo Knight of TRSI (organizers!). He won the competition without any concurrence (considering the points), but his sound wasn't the best at all! Irata/TRSI who was in the jury took Romeo Knight's price, because Romeo wasn't present. (I just have to tell you shortly how much fans the Zine-team does have. Many guys came up to us, shaked our hands, said hello and disappeared again. Other guys tried to take pictures or took a film. It seemed to us like we were "abnormal" human beings, because almost none of these guys started to talk to us. Ridiculous...) Next thing coming up was a strip-tease. Here our little personal comment: It was absolutely fucking lame what way people behaved. Everyone tried to get a look at the girls jumping around on a stage in an absolutely childish and ridiculous way. During this fucking crap we (Orlando, Chester, Bird, Luke) shoved off to kick around beer bottles. (That's what I call an useful occupation.) And finally Bird and me tried to fill some beer in Chester's mouth. (we failed!) There was still the strip-tease inside and so we decided to organize even some more beer. Which we found at the place of Equinox. So we sat on the back of the hall on some chairs and started to cry around very, very loud: "banana", "drugs". These were certainly the most used words this evening and afterwards we were hardly able to speak. (shit happens!) At least we had fun during this absolutely fucking stupid strip-tease. Finally it was time for the demo competition. Everyone looked at the small screen on the stage. The first demo was a demo by The Special Brothers. No one was really excited, because the demo was (and is) boring! Now I went to the computer to put in the "Primus" demo. My flesh crept as I put the disk in the drive. (Ooops, maybe I'm getting a bit too poetical.) Everybody believed that the beautiful, amazing, astonishing demo we anounced during the whole day will follow. But first of all there was some trouble, till the TRSI crew managed to start my demo. They didn't believe that my "flicker-effect" was made on purpose, but that their monitor was out of order! (It was very funny watching all the people crying: "Hey, the monitor is out of order", "It is still not working"). Most of the Brainstorm members were lying on the floor laughing all the time. Many freaks didn't understand why we were laughing so much. When the elephant foot in the demo squeezed the RSI-worm and some TRSI members looked at me in an angry way. Have I jolt any of them? My general impression was that not many liked my "Primus" demo, but it was fun, so who cares? (Against all odds I still think that my Primus demo is one of the most original and induvidual demos that were published in the last time...). Some other bad demos (that's overstated!) were shown and the final results were as follows: 1. The Special Brothers 2. Brainstorm 3. Symbiosis 4. Poison 5. Agnostic Front 6. Vertical Some days after the party I got a letter from a friend of the Storm crew. He wrote me that he saw that the coder of Storm gave the disk with Storm-megademo to the jury for the demo-competition, but the demo wasn't showed during the competition... Nobody didn't win anything! The party continued with another strip-tease (we don't want to express my feelings twice!). The party continued with a lot of small-talk and other crap. Then at 3 o'clock in the morning the organizers kicked everyone out, even if it was fucking cold outside. We searched a place to sleep and we found one in an entrance of a house. We tried to sleep, but some of us failed. We took the train at 7 o'clock in the morning (I guess so) and started to return at home... snoooor... snoooor... And then... suddenly, astoundingly, instantaneously, inconceivably, inexhaustibly, inextinguishably we achieved the end of this report.
