Interview
The party took place in a big hall outside Lillestrom/Norway, called "Tandberg hallen". It started officialy on the 26th of December, and ended on the 29th.

Network and Theatre had monunted a big screen and a stereorack in the hall, but they used it mainly to show old MTV movies and announcements. They should have shown more demos, intros etc. There were no separate sleeping hall, if you wanted to sleep. You had to sleep in the hallway outside the hall itself. Theatre & Network had put up a kiosk, were it was possible to buy refreshments (like soda, chocolate, bread and disks.) The standards on the hotdogs was lousy, they tasted like shit.

In the invitation they said that there was a gasstation nearby, but it wasn't (it was about 500 metres away, so I got lost until somone helped me.) But they had toilet paper, which was quite a nice thing about the party.

I must say that I was quite suprised that about 320 people had shown up, with the christmas holiday and all. But of course many of them were pretty lame, many just sat there playing and copying games, even when copying was forbidden. But it looked like it was the main thing to do, for many of the people present. Some guys from Network and Theatre had also put up a modem, wiht which they downloaded some dull games. No Limits which had to download their contribution for the democompetition, asked Network if they could use the modem. The result of this was that Network downloaded the wrong demo for them, and didn't allow them to download the demo needed. "We have to judge the contributions for the competitions now!" was all they said.

On Saturday the 29th at 12.00, the demos had to be deliverd to the judges. They didn't even set out a delay, so for the poor guys who didn't finish their demos to 12.00 wasn't allowed to deliver them.

First they announced the winners of gfx, then after a while they declared the winners of the demo and music competitions. The results are the folowing:

   Gfx Competition:
----------------------
1. No Limits
2. Crusaders
3. Accept
4. Scope
5. Pure Metal Coders

   Music Competition:
----------------------
1. Crusaders
2. No Limits
3. Poison
4. Cryptoburners
5. Pure Metal Coders

   Demo Competition:
----------------------
1. Exit
2. Cryptoburners
3. Crypt
4. Pure Metal Coders
5. Pure Metal Coders

Exit won a VHS recorder, and all the other prizes were disks in different amounts.

The competitions were finished at about 4.20 in the morning. Just after the competition, a message on the screen said "The party ends at 12.00 o'clock." Then after an hour a new message came on the screen "You have to be out of here before 11.00am". There was a big uproar, to have the hall cleared by eleven was unreasonable.

So at 10.45 when we finaly got out of there, the hall was almost empty, only the garbage left. We said good bye to all friends and all other freaks and began our long journey home! The party wasn't as good as I had hoped, but it was quite cool anyway.
