Interview
McDisk: Just introduce yourself first! (Age, hobbies, school/work...)
Icronite: These questions are too personal so I don't want to answer them.
McDisk: Tell us some facts about your computer-career.
Icronite: Once upon a time in the land of vikings, I lived (yeah!). I was about 9 years old and I had a Vic20. Then I bought a C64, then I bought an Amiga and now... Tataaaa I'm a coder in Anarchy (pretty brief eh!).
McDisk: I know that you answered this question thousand times, but give us some infos about the death of KEFRENS again! (Why have you joined ANARCHY? Is it true, that KEFRENS was reborn by some former members? Have you any contact to the other ex-KEFRENS members (e.g. Promax, Metallion...))
Icronite: THE >>REAL<< KEFRENS IS DEAD! But recently some imposters tried to convince some of the long dead legends of Kefrens to start it again, but the NEW Kefrens have NO REAL POWER, they are only a faint shadow of the old group and the revenge will come soon (in laartykke straaler)... Seriously - Kefrens died because the people who represented the REAL power became lazy. We decided to close it down so that we wouldn't get the same problem as we have seen with other groups, that the people who later took over were not so talented and couldn't live up to the old standard. Besides it's not much fun for these people, because when people see their prods they will be really disappointed.
I joined Anarchy because it's the only quality demo group in DK which had members I really knew. There isn't very many quality groups in DK anyway! I still talk a lot with Promax, but that's about it.
McDisk: How have you learned to code? Have you got much of your knowledge in coding from PROMAX, or haven't you been in steady contact with him?
Icronite: There's only one way to learn the hard facts of coding. Do it by yourself! But remember life is more than the Amiga!! (Somebody told me that, but I don't really know what he meant - I think it was someting like booze, fall in love and have a Metal Hangover!)
McDisk: As I know, you coded the Digital Innovation Demo in co-op with coders of other countries (e.g. Dan)! Did you have any problems to connect the parts together? What about communication between their different coders?
Icronite: Did we have problems????? YES! We took only one month to code the demoparts and three (!!) months to put it together. Ofcourse I don't talk to Dan every day, but it was no problem to put our demoparts together, cos we don't use spaghetticode, so it's easy to understand what the others are doing. But DAN should try using the AsmOne assembler, cos it was a nightmare to convert his sources from Devpac.
McDisk: As you're one of the oldies of the scene, what is your actual opinion about the scene?
Icronite: My actual real definite personal opinion is that: Cracking for money really sucks, demo groups rule, parties are fun, talking to people is fun, modeming sucks (The phonebills are great fun though!).
McDisk: What is your opinion about the german demo-scene? More and more guys complain about its lameness! Is this also your opinion?
Icronite: Spreadpoint (Buddha is fucking coool!)... Reborn Sanity... The rest... (Who cares!)
McDisk: Do you only code for fun, or do you also work on commercial projects (e.g. games or tools)?
Icronite: I like coding routines, but I hate making a demo out of it. I'm coding two commercial games now, which will be finished soon (very soon). L.C.S. rule!
McDisk: I think you're always working together with Milkshake, so what's your relationship to him?
Icronite: I hate him, he's stupid, ugly and utterly lame.... No frankly you can see for yourself that we've been working together for a very long time now so I couldn't mean what I just wrote (Or at least I couldn't write it here, could I - Errhmm, hi Milkman!)
McDisk: What type of assembler do you use (ASMOne because it was coded by a former member of KEFRENS?)
Icronite: Promax forces me to use it, he has tortured me with hundreds of calls telling me how brilliant it is, so now I belive it!
McDisk: Any last words?
Icronite: I hope I haven't said my last words yet aaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggddddd .. ... ... ... .. Bip Bip Biiiiiiiiiiiip Bip Bip (snydt)
