Ram Jam

Ram Jam was primarily an Italian demo group, formed in 1989. During their early years, they also had a few Scandinavian members. Most notable was the Finnish graphics artist Szone, who contributed to numerous productions.

In March 1993, they released the first issue of The Charts, promising a new issue every month featuring nothing but charts — no news, no gallery, nothing... just charts! Of course, this changed only six months later, when Issue #06 hit the scene. This issue featured entirely new code and a brand-new layout, but also introduced a news and magazine section :)

Ram Jam managed to release 17 issues before calling it quits. The final issue was released in December 1995 and unfortunately now seems to be lost.

Meanwhile, as the Italian members struggled to keep The Charts on a somewhat regular release schedule, the group developed strong divisions in both Sweden and France. The Swedish division, led by Klorathy and Atheist, released several impressive AGA demos, while French member Hysteric produced more than 35 issues of his pack series Intel Outside.

The Charts would not be the last chartmag produced by Ram Jam. In February 1996, they released Show Time, which saw a handful of issues before KaosMaster took the magazine with him to Darkage.
