Balance

In June 1991, Wolfman, Split and TNT met at a small computer club in Copenhagen, Denmark. Together, they formed Balance and were soon joined by more members, but they still needed a coder. When Wreko joined from Divine in October/November, things finally started to take off.

From the very beginning, it was clear that the name Balance was already in use by a Spanish group. Nevertheless, the Danes kept the name, and the two groups eventually merged into one. This did not last long, and in July 1992, their new diskmag, MagBox, published the news that the Spanish section had disbanded.

But the Spanish section was not their only international division. Over the years, they had members in Germany, England, Finland, Hungary, Sweden, Norway, and even Israel. In fact, the Norwegian section was established when the entire group Frogs joined and brought along their diskmag, Upstream. With two diskmags on their hands, a decision was made to merge them — keeping the code and issue numbering from MagBox while adopting the name Upstream.

By 1995, the Swedish section had more or less taken control of the group, as they were the only active members left. They released several strong AGA demos before it all came to an end in 1996.
