Alcatraz
Alcatraz was formed in 1988 by Metalwar (code & music), Helix (gfx) and PGCS (gfx) from the more strangely named Motley Crue Team. The first
two have since decided to leave both the group and the scene, leaving PGCS as the head of the group.
When most of the members of the group Coma joined, they got the diskmag "McDisk" as an
added bonus. When they stopped doing that, however, a new mag was planned.
This mag was given the name "Compass", and the mag got great reviews, but after just one
released issue the maineditor left for Essence to be maineditor of "R.O.M".
In 1991 famous french musician Moby who came from Dragons, joined Dreamdealers
around the middle of the year, after releasing the music disk "More Than Music" in April. This didn't seem to affect Alcatraz who in December went to Denmark and won the democompetition at The Party with the trackmo "Odyssey".
Both the German and Swedish divisions were kicked out in 1993. The German duo Control and Orbit joined TRSI, the rest of the Germans formed a new crew called Fresh. Raw Style, Stearo and Nose joined in Germany, but when that division fell apart they all left to join Jetset.
The Sad news in 2000 was that Hornet (Alain Malek, code) died of a heart attack. May he rest in peace.
